Welcome to the Shepparton & Youth Club United Cricket Club
On behalf of the President, committee and players of the Shepparton & Youth Club United CC welcome to our cricket club and website.
The Shepparton & Youth Club United Cricket Club was formed in 2003 from the merger of the Shepparton CC and the Shepparton Youth Club CC. We currently field 4 senior and 4 junior teams with the Cricket Shepparton Association.
The township of Shepparton is located in the heart of Victoria and is known as the Food Bowl of Australia with a large fruit growing and Dairy Industry. The Greater Shepparton area has a population of around 60,000 residents and is expanding daily.
Our main home ground called Riordan Oval which is a part of the Princess Park sporting area located just a 5 minute walk to the Shepparton CBD and is surrounded by bush land and the Goulburn River. There are two grounds at this location, one being turf and the other a hard wicket. Our new training facilities are also located at the Princess Park precinct.
Our 4 senior teams consist of 1st XI, 2nd XI, 4th XI and 5th XI with junior teams competing in Under 16,14 and 12 grades with a shared In 2cricket program for children aged 6 – 10 through Cricket Shepparton. It is one of our clubs highest priorities to continue to develop our young cricketers and eventually guide them into senior teams.
We continue to foster a friendly social atmosphere off the ground and always try to be inclusive of our junior players and their families. Our club also aims to contribute to our community through means other than cricket and has a good working relationship with Local Council.
Between both clubs we can boast 21 A Grade Premierships as well as a host of other senior and junior premierships. Our clubs have produced 10 Life Members of the Shepparton Cricket Association and 2 Legend Award recipients.
Our ultimate aim is to return to these successful days and we are continually working towards these goals through our developmental programs and following our club vision and goals listed below.
